Elena Bollette was born in 1993 in Liège, Belgium. As a fiction writer and multidisciplinary artist, she combines graphic design, typography, analogue photography and video. She is seeking the possibilities of layouts and images during her writing process, while questioning through fiction visions of reality and its disorders (dreams, hallucinations, inhibition, parallel universes, mysticism or depersonalization).
Graduated in 2018 with a Master's degree in Typography and Graphic Design from La Cambre. Through the rigorous practice of typography, Elena explores how setting limits and rules can amplify and multiply layers of reading, visibility and question the reader through atypical book-objects, to reflect and think the medium as an art object. The possibility of involving the public through elements of their own narrative encourages them to question the reading sequence.
Elena lives and works in Brussels, Belgium.
